Rescue Dogs Need Time
We’ve had Leo about 4 months and it’s still not easy all the time but he is relaxing more and more everyday.
He enjoys his offlead walks with friends and welcomes new dogs into our home with very little stress. I’m making sure that he is guided by one of us all the time in new situations and his confidence is growing. So much so, that he is starting to be cheeky. Found him on the kitchen sofa today.

It’s always rewarding seeing a rescue dog come out of their shell. But it can be a challenge to do it on your own which is why the group here at #thewalkaboutway is so helpful. We can work with you and your dog in a 121 basis and when you are ready, welcome you into one of our groups to get the best possible outcome for your dog.
I work with an amazing team of amazing ambassadors too, many of them have experienced exactly what you are and are here to support if you need it. I have had over 34 German Shepherd dogs and 28 were rescued at various ages. So there is probably very little we haven’t seen- small or big, the challenges are testing and a chance to talk it through is always useful. Interested in joining us for an assessment and initial 121 training session, please contact me through the website.
